My aluminum is sustainable? Sure it is: it does require quite a lot of energy to produce. But: aluminum can be recycled again and again - with virtually no loss. Again and again. And because mine - like my wood - is coated with powder and not paint, it doesn't pollute the local environment in any way. Discover here who made me who I am.
At Ramseier - also in the Bernese Oberland - my wood is given an eco-makeover.
Special: It charges the wood electrostatically so that it can be powder-coated. The coating is free from harmful solvents and is also odorless. And because Ramseier meets the highest standards in terms of ecology and health, it has been awarded the "eco-1" environmental label.
Admittedly, it is perhaps a little snobbish that I have my aluminum powder coating done by Sigwa in Sumiswald, but I do source the powder raw materials from two or three other places. I have good reasons for this: Each of these partners has the best expertise for my very specific appearances and needs.
The untreated aluminum that dresses and holds me together comes from Hasselroth near Frankfurt. Top quality, of course.
